Buckeye

“Buckeye” is a beautiful, dappled smutty buckskin gelding that we have owned just shy of 2 years. He stands 15 hands tall, and is one of the nicest all-around family horse we will show you. Solid, safe, and sane! He stays gentle and trained no matter how long he sits idle, always level headed, and has never had a mean bone in his body. Buckeye is extremely well trained in the arena and has all of the reining buttons, but is also rock solid out on the trails! He has a fancy handle and will spin as fast or slow as you want to go, has a lead change, great in his transitions, completely one hand broke, likes whoa more than go, and you DO NOT have to be an expert to get along with this guy. He will ride to the level of rider on his back. Super super sweet to be around, easy to catch, loves bathes, stands for farrier, loads, hauls, stands tied, braiding, etc. Zero hassle type of gelding that is easy to have around. Being 35 weeks pregnant Buckeye is my go to trail horse, he packs myself and our 2.5 year old little boy down the trails and we absolutely have full confidence in him to keep us safe. We haven’t found anything that really rattles or excites this guy, he’s traffic safe, pheasants have flown up under us, great around kids, dogs, farm machinery etc. Buckeye gets along with everybody out in a herd but is also great in his stall with no bad habits. I could go on and on about this guy, we have nothing but great things to say about him. He’s been a pleasure to own and we are confident his next owner will love him as much as we have!
