“Hugo” checks ALL of the boxes and then some! Cute as a button, stands right at 14.1 hands tall, tons of chrome and wow factor to him, and he’s by NRHA 4 million dollar sire Smart Like Juice!! Absolutely, hands down one of my favorite horses to date that I’ve ever ridden. 100% trained in all aspects of the reining pen, he’s EASY and so push button to ride, non pro friendly, and you simply can’t ride him wrong I don’t think. Hugo has won just shy of $3,500 in the NRHA and could easily switch over to the ranch classes and be a top contender. He has a super smooth jog that extends beautifully, doesn’t miss a lead change, crosses all of the obstacles and is as desensitized and care free as they get. He’s easy going and forgiving, friendly to be around, and is good in his stall or outside with others. Being 35 weeks pregnant as I type this I have absolute full faith and trust in this horse. He’s one I know I can saddle up once a week or once a month and not worry about a thing and know I’m safe. He’s the baby sitter type in the arena and can teach you how a trained horse should feel. Hugo has also been ridden countless miles out on the trails. He’s very sure footed out and about by himself and will go anywhere you ask him to. Traffic safe, farm machinery, our wild toddler, dogs/cats, wildlife, tarps, flags, ropes, etc… nothing phases him. We can’t say enough good things about this gelding.
