Bloopy

Bloopy 2021 AQHA Buckskin Gelding

The time has come, and we have decided to offer my very special gelding, Bloopy, for sale.

This is going to be a very hard day for us, but we know he is ready for his next chapter and, hopefully, his forever home.

This gelding has brought so many of my dreams to reality. He was the first horse to win me my first ranch buckle, the first horse I’ve ever shown in AQHA, and the first horse to ever earn me the honor of being named AQHA Amateur Level 2 Exhibitor of the Year. He has AQHA points in everything from Performance Halter to Ranch Trail, Ranch Riding, and Working Western Rail.

Bloopy is the horse I save to ride at the end of the day just to end my day on an upbeat note. He’s FUN. You can ride him any discipline, bareback, bridleless, or any way you’d like, and he will put a smile on your face.

Bloopy has been absolutely everywhere with me over the past year and a half. He has won 3 buckles this year alone in ranch events and qualified for the 2026 AQHA World Show. Bloopy has earned 32 AQHA points and has his ROM in both Open and Amateur. He excels in all of the ranch show events, but if you aren’t looking for a show horse, Bloopy is just as happy riding around the farm, taking care of the kids, and being a family horse.

He LOVES people, is great to be around, outstanding in a stall, and loves turnout and pasture time.

Bloopy is the ultimate hassle-free horse to have around. Zero special care. Zero maintenance. He stays trained with time off and is always ready to go.

This horse is truly one of a kind. You won’t show him anything new. He is probably one of the best trail horses I have ever ridden. I completely trust him with our 4-year-old son to ride alone, both at home and at shows. Bloopy is extremely brave, both in the show pen and out on the trails. He’s an ears-up kind of guy who will get you noticed everywhere you go. He likes to show, enjoys seeing new things, and takes everything in stride.

Before we purchased him, Bloopy had also been in reining training and head horse training. He has not been roped on in the year and a half we have owned him simply because we aren’t ropers, but he is a very above-average head horse as well.

At just 5 years old, Bloopy has his whole life ahead of him, and I am looking forward to finding him the perfect forever home.

And before anyone asks why he is for sale, I want to remind everyone of something that is important to us:

This is our business. This is what we do to pay our bills.

We buy quality geldings, put additional training into them, haul them, season them, and resell them when we feel they are ready to go on and make someone else happy.

We are not selling these horses because they have a problem. This is our business, and I truly enjoy the training process.

Bloopy is very trained, very seasoned, and ready for someone else to enjoy him in whatever direction they choose — whether that’s the show pen, trails, a family horse, a rope horse, or a little bit of everything.

He is 100% sound, zero maintenance, and has the goofiest, most loving personality you could ever find. He stands 14.3 hands tall.

This guy has been my pride and joy, and letting him go will be bittersweet. But I know there is someone out there who is going to love him just as much as I do.

Buy this gelding with full confidence. No secrets. No holes. Just a truly special horse that is ready to be someone else’s once-in-a-lifetime gelding.
