Duke

“Duke” stands 14.3 hands tall and is a golden palomino, with a snow-white mane and tail. He was bred, raised, trained, and shown locally. He was the Reserve Champion Two-Year-Old in the Iowa Ranch Horse Extravaganza in the Open Ranch Trail. Since then, Duke has done everything from trail rides, roping the machine, obstacle courses, and leisure rides around the farm, our summer intern even showed him at the local ranch horse show.

Duke is easy to operate, very mature for his age, and has a calm, passive demeanor. Whether you’re wanting to head to some ranch shows or just enjoy trail rides, we think Duke would be a great fit for a youth or non-pro rider.

We’ve put a ton of training into Duke getting him one-handed and really riding off your seat and legs. He has a nice turnaround, wants to stop, and travels smoothly. He saddles up gently and doesn’t need to be ridden every day. Duke would make an excellent 4-H horse as well.

Absolutely sound, current on deworming, farrier, vaccinations, coggins, dental, and basic pre purchase exam. For more information please call 507-459-8654.
