Shooter

“Shooter” is the kind everyone is searching for! This sweet, kind, and exceptionally well minded young gelding stands 14.2 hands tall and is as eye-catching as they come, with flashy white markings, four matching socks, and a thick, beautiful silver mane and tail.

He is sired by Dont Stop Shootin (NRHA LTE $584; PE LTE $260,000+), a son of Colonels Smoking Gun (Gunner), the $9 million sire with NRHA LTE of $177,670. Shooter is also out of a granddaughter of Grays Starlight, an NRCHA Hall of Fame inductee with $48,160 in earnings, offspring earnings exceeding $10 million, and an NRHA Million Dollar Sire. His pedigree is packed with proven performance and consistency.

We purchased Shooter directly from the family who raised him, and he has been well cared for his entire life. He has a great handle with correct, easy spins, smooth transitions, a soft, collected lope, and he loves whoa. Shooter rides like a much older horse and is extremely enjoyable to have around.

On the trail, he is confident and independent—happy to ride out alone or in a group, whether leading or following. He takes everything in stride and nothing seems to rattle him. He has been exposed to a variety of desensitizing obstacles, is great around kids and commotion, and is always a gentleman in the barn.

We truly can’t say enough good things about this young gelding. He has a bright future ahead and, even as a 4-year-old, is the type that most anyone who can get in the saddle should be able to enjoy. He would make an excellent 4-H or weekend ranch show horse.

Shooter sells with a current basic pre-purchase exam and soundness letter from our veterinarian. He is up to date on deworming, farrier care, vaccinations, Coggins, and dental.
